Harmony Grove Spiritualist Association, and the Education Committee, are
pleased to announce the return of the Reverend Pete Monroe Scholarship
program.
SCOPE:
The Education program offers classes throughout the year with the exams conducted as needed. These classes will comprise of:
In addition, dates will be set aside to conduct student services, student message circles, and/or student psychic fairs. Other classes, credit or non-credit, will be offered opportunistically depending on the demand from students and the availability of classroom and instructor resources.
The scholarship will provide tuition expenses for up to 6 classes which is a total of $300.00. The Fund will pay for only those classes completed within a 12-month period.
REQUIREMENTS:
The following is a list of requirements that must be met by each applicant.
1. The student must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
2. The student must provide two letters of recommendation.
3. One from an individual (non-relative) not in our spiritual community.
4. One additional letter (non-relative) which can be from a person in our spiritual community.
5. Completed application, including essays and resume (including contact numbers for verification purposes).
6. Applications must be submitted to the HGSA Director of Education at hgsadoe@gmail.com no later than June 15, 2024.
7. Following the recommendation of the Education Committee, the Director then forwards the application to the HGSA Board of Directors meeting.
8. All the classes being taken must be credit courses.
9. The student must have a history of attending the HGSA Education Program.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
If you meet the requirements, send an email to the Director of Education, Reverend Marreena Appleton, at hgsadoe@gmail.com. An application will then be emailed to you.
Application forms will be made available to both instructors and students. Instructors will be able to provide applications to students who are exhibiting the desired qualities of a scholarship student as well as allowing students to apply independently.
All applications will first be submitted to the Education Committee. This will allow the committee members to provide supporting information on students that they have personal knowledge of.
All applications will then be forwarded to the HGSA Board of Directors to make the final determination. All resumes will be verified. An interview may be scheduled if deemed necessary by the Scholarship Committee.
The Education Committee will need to submit their selection to the HGSA Board for Board approval at any meeting of the Board.
At the conclusion of the year, the student will submit a written report of their class experience to the Director Education
